Is anyone interested in playing Axis & Allies online as we're playing Risk, Acquire, and Diplomacy?  Any thoughts on an A&A ranking system?

Online?  I love the game, play frequently, but I really don't know if the web can do it justice.

When we start a game, we need to decide on the optional rules:

There are two options.
1) Whether or not the USSR can make combat moves on the first turn (yes or no).
2) Whether or not the Axis can win by economic victory (yes or no)

We can start a game with 2-5 players.

What about A&A ratings?  Players each get 1 point.  Survivors of winning team get 5. Abandoning play with no resignation -100, Resigning -10.

I'm not really experienced at A&A.  I have the game, but have played more online than FtF - and altogether that isn't much.  I was always playing Shogun (Samurai Swords) when others where playing A&A.  I'm interested now though.  The preview link above gives you a solid idea of how the game will work.

Three-Player is:

1 = U.S. & USSR
2 = Germany & Japan
3 = UK

Are you IN Corrindium?  We can do the first as 3 player.  I'm cool with that.  I'm also happy to take the lesser U.K. of the 3.

Potential rating system?

10 points for being on the winning team
1 point for being on the losing team
-50 points for resigning
-100 points for ceasing play without resignation

Thoughts?

No, right now only you and I are confirmed - I'm waiting to see if Corrindium confirms he's in or not and if we can get a couple more players.  You can play anywhere from 2-5 players I believe.

Well Ken... Do you want to start a 2-player game?  I'm truly a terrible noob at it, but I'm willing.  Maybe once we're finished, more will join the second game.

If you do want to start.  Do you want the Allies or Axis?

Anyone else who would be interested in trying the game, don't hesitate to pop in and let us know!
